MAKNA PESAN MORAL LIRIK LAGU TRADISIONAL BALI (SEKAR ALIT) DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER ANAK (Studi Kasus pada Widya Sabha Desa Punggul Kabupaten Badung Bali)

Abstract

Sekar Alit, also known as Geguritan or Pupuh, is a classical Balinese literary work that is still alive and thriving in the Balinese people. Traditional Balinese songs are an excellent media as a communication medium to pass on moral values. There are several kinds of songs. Three of them are used as objects of  this research is : pupuh  Pucung, Ginada and Ginanti. The three pupuh have become a learning material at Widya Sabha Village Punggul Abiansemal Badung District. This research is research with a qualitative approach. Data collection using interview and observation techniques. There are three informant in this study: I Gusti Made Sumadi, S. Ag (Chairman Widya Sabha Desa Punggul), Dr. I Nyoman Suwija, M. Hum (Academics of Bali literature) and I Putu Eka Sura Adnyana, S. Ag., S. S (art actors). Based on the research that the moral message contained in the lyrics of traditional Balinese song (Sekar Alit) is very instrumental in the formation of children's character. The moral message is: it should not be arrogant, humble, always learn at all times, and learn to respect others. These moral messages are very potential to form a good character in the child's self. This moral message was implemented in the child's behavior in every learning activity at Pasraman Widya Sabha in Punggul village. In addition to getting to know about Balinese literature, students also apply social ethics, courtesy and develop self-confidence.
