THE ROLE OF CIVIC EDUCATION IN SHAPING GOOD CITIZENS THROUGH LEARNING

Abstrak

Every country aims to form good citizens, who not only understand their rights and obligations, but also play an active role in realizing the welfare and progress of the nation. However, forming good citizens is not an easy task. This process involves various complex factors and takes a long time. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data sources used in the research are primary and secondary. The research approach used is library research sourced from books and journals. The results of this study show that the role of Civic Education in shaping good citizens through learning is 1) instilling the values of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, 2) building legal and civic awareness, 3) fostering democratic and participatory attitudes, 4) building tolerance and social harmony, 5) developing moral and ethical character, 6) education about social and humanitarian obligations, 7) teaching social and collaboration skills, 8) presenting good leadership models, 9) understanding of global and national issues, 10) fostering a sense of love for the country and nationalism.
