VANILLA DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY IN BULELENG REGENCY
Abstract
Vanilla development in Buleleng Regency requires a strategy that is competent and relevant to farmers' problems. The vanilla development strategy has a role in increasing the yield and quality of production, improving the welfare of farmers so that they are able to maximize the potential of vanilla farmers in Buleleng Regency. The aim of this research is to analyze the formulation of appropriate alternative strategies for sustainable vanilla farming in Buleleng Regency, Bali. This research uses a quantitative method approach, the IFAS and EFAS matrices are followed by determining alternative strategies using the SWOT matrix. The results of this research are 8 alternative strategies for developing vanilla farming in Buleleng Regency. The suggestion from this research is that vanilla farming in Buleleng Regency is expected to develop a sustainable vanilla cultivation area so that it can increase vanilla efficiency and productivity. The government is expected to facilitate the use of appropriate modern technology to formulate policies that encourage development in vanilla farming.
